A Puerto Rican family who were traveling from to visit relatives on Puerto Rico were denied from boarding their Spirit Airlines flight to the island because their toddler did not have a U.S. passport - despite the destination being classed as a domestic flight. The frustrating incident occurred on April 25 at Los Angeles International Airport when Marivi Roman Torres, together with her husband Luis, and their two-year-old son Alejandro were hoping to travel to Puerto Rico to visit relativesUpon reaching the check-in counter, an agent asked to see the family's passports.
