Starbucks, Applebee's, Chipotle, and more offer Veterans Day discounts

With Veterans Day just around the corner, popular restaurants have announced impressive discounts for former and active military personnel.

Monday's holiday commemorates the end of , even though the war technically ended on June 28, 1919 when the Treaty of Versailles was signed.

But fighting stopped about seven months earlier when a 'cessation of hostilities' between the Allies and was put into motion on the 'eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month,' according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
