The State University of New York will now require all new students to take a course focused on 'Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice' (DEISJ) to graduate. Members of the SUNY Board of Trustees called for the new DEISJ course for all freshmen in the 64-campus college system starting in the fall of 2023. While the course is touted by the college as a means to promote diversity and equity, some SUNY professors have slammed it as pandering to ideology.
