Sweden saw a lower overall mortality rate than most European countries, according to data from the World Health Organization.The Scandinavian country — home to over 10 million people — famously snubbed the strict lockdowns that brought much of the global economy to a standstill.WHO’s report of excess deaths — people who died directly and indirectly from COVID-19 — shows a whopping 14.9 million fatalities worldwide.
