Teacher wins $70M after she collapsed at home and woke up with no legs

A Georgia teacher has been awarded a $70 million payout more than a decade after botched medical treatment led to the amputation of both her legs.

Jessica Powell's life took a dramatic turn in 2013 when she suddenly collapsed inside her home from hormone deficiency disease coupled with a stomach virus.

The episode led to her being rushed to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany for life-saving medical help, .
