The two teenagers accused of shooting dead a high school football star outside of a Dave & Buster's in while he was on a date on have been refused bail following their initial appearance in court. Elijah DeWitt, a star receiver at Jefferson High School, was shot dead on his father's birthday while he and a friend waited for their girlfriends outside of the Sugar Mills Mall in Lawrenceville, 30 miles northeast of Atlanta. Shortly after the shooting, investigators identified Chandler Richardson, 19, and Kenmare Bryan, 18, as the suspects in the murder. They were arrested in South Carolina on gun possession charges on Thursday.
