Some of the most prolific serial killers in the world maintained 'double lives', hiding in plain sight from authorities while committing heinous crimes.Barbara Sanitni, a psychologist, sex and relationships adviser, said that serial killers who live 'ordinary lives' often exhibit a trait known as duping delight - a type of pleasure derived from successfully deceiving others.She explained that the ability to lead seemingly normal lives amongst friends, families, colleagues and neighbours while also deceiving those individuals often brings the criminals a 'thrilling sense of control and superiority'.
