Thirteen women who were sexually abused by disgraced former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar each filed claims against the for $10 million, saying the agency failed to properly investigate his crimes. Attorney Jamie White, who is representing the women, said the FBI's mishandling of the Nassar case is 'a law enforcement failure of historic proportions,' with the women's claims totaling $130 million. 'We spend so much energy and resources encouraging children to come forward when they have been abused, so the fact that people came forward to the most powerful law enforcement agency in the world and were rebuffed - it's a slap in the face,' White said.
