Toronto Pearson Airport on lockdown as police swarm area

Parts of Toronto Pearson International Airport have been put on lockdown after an unknown incident, with police and paramedics swarming the area.

Terminal 1 Departures at the major airport has been closed due to a police investigation, with motorists being asked to avoid the area.

Unconfirmed reports from travelers and those at the airport claim they heard what sounded like gunshots. Police have yet to comment on the nature of the incident.
