Tragic update in case of wife who vanished just before New Year's

A body found in a river last month has been confirmed as that of a missing mother who vanished from her home with no shoes just before New Year's Day.

Eva Masin Prather, 43, was experiencing a severe mental health crisis before disappearing from her family's home in Missoula on December 30, her family revealed.

Missoula County Sheriff Jeremiah Petersen confirmed the remains discovered in the Clark Fork River on October 13 were positively identified as those of the missing woman.
