Tragic update in search for 8-year-old boy who ran off from school

The body of a young boy who went missing from a South Carolina elementary school has been found in a body of water just hours after he disappeared.

Lionel Ramirez Cervantes, 8, had ran off from school officials at Bell's Crossing Elementary School in Simpsonville on Thursday morning.

Cervantes, who according to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office was autistic and somewhat nonverbal, was last near the school's playground.
