Trump becomes first US president to be criminally sentenced

Judge Juan Merchan sentenced the President-elect to an unconditional discharge on Friday, finalizing his criminal conviction of 34 felony counts of of falsifying business records from his trial in May.

The decision means Trump won't receive any jail time and will avoid having to pay a hefty fine or probation.
