Two-time World Series champion Justin Verlander signs with new team

Justin Verlander will play for the in his 20th MLB season after signing a one-year, $15million contract on Tuesday, it has been revealed.

The two-time World Series champion and nine-time All-Star was a free agent after leaving the and has now landed on the west coast.

News of his arrival at San Francisco was first reported by ESPN's Jeff Passan, who revealed the pitcher, who turns 42 next month, reached an agreement on Tuesday.
