A swimmer on the University of women's team slammed the school for focusing all its attention on teammate Lia Thomas and claimed the university would sue if there is a rule change that prevents her from competing in March's NCAA championship. The swimmer, who spoke with on the condition of anonymity, said it was not fair to allow Thomas, 22, who transitioned from male to female last year, to compete with athletes who were born female and said the university was transfixed on helping Thomas compete. She added that she heard 'from some administrators' that either UPenn or Penn Athletic would file a lawsuit Thomas was not allowed to compete in the 2022 NCAA Swimming and Diving championships.
