Food safety officials have sounded the alarm after hundreds of canned coffee products were recalled over fears of toxic contamination.
Over 250 coffee products from Snapchill LLC are being voluntarily recalled by the company after the raised concerns over cross-contamination with the deadly botulinum toxin, which can lead to botulism.
The federal agency reportedly flagged issues with the company's low-acid canning method, which poses a risk of allowing the toxin to grow and spread to potentially lethal levels.
