A US man who has been on death row for nearly 20 years has had his execution cancelled just hours before it was carried out.Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt granted clemency to Julius Jones, commuting Jones' death sentence for a 1999 murder he says he did not commit.Jones' sentence will be commuted to life in prison without the possibility of parole, the governor said in an executive order issued this morning.
