The U.S. added just 209,000 jobs in June in the smallest increase since the end of 2020. The figures released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics fell short of the estimated 230,000, while the unemployment rate fell to 3.6 percent. It shows that hiring in the U.S. is cooling after a recovery from the loss of jobs during the COVID pandemic.
