Utah family left devastated as five-year-old boy shoots himself dead

The family of a five-year-old boy is in utter shock after the child was found dead from accidentally shooting himself in his parents' bedroom.

The boy - identified by family as Brooks Thomas Wilson - found a 9 mm handgun in the back room of his house Thursday afternoon and fired a single shot to the head, police said.

The boy´s parents, and possibly one of his siblings, were inside the home when the shooting happened but were not with him in the room.
