's governor signed into law two bills this week that regulate social media use for children and minors and put more power into the hands of their parents and guardians. On Thursday, Governor Spencer Cox signed H.B. 311 and S.B. 152 which require parental consent for minors to create profiles on social media sites and give parents access to their child's accounts.'We're no longer willing to let social media companies continue to harm the mental health of our youth,' Cox said on Thursday afternoon.
