The wrong-way driver who allegedly plowed into a group of law enforcement recruits out for a training run in southern California has been charged with attempted murder. Nicholas Joseph Gutierrez, 22, was taken into custody at the scene of the crash along Mills Avenue in Whittier on Wednesday morning.The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Dailymail.com that Gutierrez was charged with attempted murder on a peace officer(s) and that additional charges are pending.
