Walmart loses crown as biggest retailer after 12 years on top

has lost its crown as the biggest retailer after more than a decade.

For the past 12 years, there has been no other company that has pulled in more revenue than the grocery giant.

But Amazon's top-line numbers, which were reported earlier this month, have now beaten out Walmart's, which were announced Thursday.
