Twenty-three states will raise their minimum wages in 2025 - a move some experts warn could drive up prices. On January 1, - along with 48 cities and counties - will set their minimum wage to $15 or higher for the first time. They’ll join seven other states already at that level.The highest minimum wage will be in Burien, Washington, where the rate in the town will jump from $16.28 to $21.16 an hour for employers with 500 or more workers.
