Warning as major US airports see HUGE rise in taxi scams

Fake taxi scams at New York airports have surged in the last three years.

Taxi hustling — where unlicensed drivers approach unsuspecting travelers with offers of cheaper fares than official taxis — has exploded at airports like LaGuardia and JFK.

There has been a staggering 110 percent rise in court summonses for taxi hustling at New York airports since 2022, data from New York Port Authority revealed.
