'I'm very worried that the Fed is going to tip this economy into recession,' the Massachusetts told 's Dana Bash. 'The causes of inflation, things like the fact that COVID is still shutting down parts of the economy around the world, that we still have supply chain kinks, that we still have a war going on in Ukraine that drives up the cost of energy, and that we still have these giant corporations that are engaging in price gouging, there is nothing in raising the interest rates, nothing in Jerome Powell's tool bag that deals directly with those,' Warren added.
