Australia must urgently prepare for a world where it is seen as a nuclear target by foreign powers including Russia and China, a new report from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute has said.Emeritus Professor Paul Dibb, a top Russian affairs analyst from the Australian National University, claimed the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine could lead to serious knock-on effects in the Pacific - regardless of whether the Kremlin emerged victorious or humiliated."The ugliest days of this war are in front of us, not behind us," Dibb wrote in his paper The geopolitical implications of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, published by ASPI today.
