The occupations that carry the highest risk of lung disease have been revealed.An analysis by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention () looked at more than 300,000 chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) cases across the country in 2020.It showed miners — who are exposed to dust from smashing into rocks — were the most likely to die from the lung conditions. Perhaps more surprisingly, waiters, cooks and hotel workers ranked second, due to exposure from cooking oil fumes. Builders and construction workers third.
