A 13-year-old reputed gang member from central Washington state has been arrested for allegedly shooting five people people — among them a 6-year-old girl — at a Cinco de Mayo festival.
The teen, who has not been named because he’s a minor, was being held at the Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of five counts of first-degree assault in connection with the May 6 shooting in Sunnyside, the Yakima Herald-Republic reported. His bail was set at $500,000.
The shooting happened on Friday night of the three-day festival, the rest of which was canceled.
