Attorney General Steve Marshall and the other top law enforcement officers of their states blasted a filing by Special Prosecutor Jack Smith as politically motivated, aligning themselves with the former president accused of conspiring to overturn the election in Smith's January 6 case. 'It should go without saying that interference with President Trump’s political campaign is not a legitimate reason to seek certiorari before judgment,' they argue in an amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court Thursday.
