Two people have been shot on the parade route of the West Indian Day Carnival in Brooklyn - while the historically bloody J'Ouvert festival remained violence-free.The West Indian American Day Carnival takes place along the Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights and began at 11am, while J'Ouvert is an annual pre-dawn celebration that honors Caribbean heritage starting at 6am.All was calm until around 4.20pm on Monday when a fight saw an individual seemingly shoot himself in the leg.
