A new study has found that 90 percent of meat and plant-based alternatives Americans consume are loaded with small plastic pieces.Scientists at Ocean Conservancy tested 16 types of protein, including chicken nuggets, beef steaks, fish fillets and plant-based burgers, suggesting that humans consume plastics no matter the source of protein they choose.One top sirloin steak contained 90 rubber particles, while two plant-based beef samples contained 40 and 25 rubber particles.
