From a volunteer firefighter to an international rapper with a stint on Big Brother and a side-business as a TV chef, Coolio, who has died aged 59, lived a life as colorful as his lyrics. The musician, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr, shot to fame with his perennial 1995 hit Gangsta's Paradise, which appeared on the soundtrack of Michelle Pfeiffer's film, Dangerous Mind.
