Amazon is reportedly in talks with a host of wireless carriers to offer a free or low-cost mobile service to its Prime subscribers.The ecommerce giant is said to have been negotiating a deal with Verizon, T-Mobile and Dish Network to get the lowest possible rate for customers. The revelation prompted telecoms stocks to plummet on Friday morning, with T-Mobile and Verizon down 8.4 percent and 4.8 percent respectively. Both carriers today denied the discussions were taking place.
