An American man on trial for murdering his elderly mother, chopping her into pieces before throwing her remains into a river told a court in he is 'no threat to society.'
Karl Pfeffer, 28, was arrested in October last year after fleeing Warsaw, Poland, where he and his mother Gretchen had lived - he was seized by the on an international arrest warrant.
Appearing before judges in the Polish capital, Pfeffer grinned at court photographers before saying: 'I don't want to look like a psycho in the media, I don't want to be the next Jeffrey Dahmer.'
