Roses are the most popular cut flower in the world and are the classic floral pick when it comes to romantic occasions - like weddings, engagements and of course Valentine's Day.However, the bouquets have a huge carbon footprint as they are usually imported from Colombia and Ecuador on planes, usually shortly after being picked to stop them wilting.
