is postponing its visa requirement for United States citizens - ones that require people to show bank accounts in addition to requests for visa. The government previously announced that travelers from the United States as well as Australia and were going to be required not only to obtain visa but show they have at least $2,000 in the bank. However, hours before it was supposed to go into effect Wednesday,the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva decided to delay it. This time the delay will stretch until 2025. The Lula administration had previously postponed it to January 10.
