With the potential to raise global sea levels, Antarctica's Thwaites Glacier has been widely nicknamed the 'Doomsday Glacier.'Now, a study has revealed just how quickly the enormous glacier is melting – and warns it could lead to a global sea level rise of up to 11 feet (3.4 metres) over the next several centuries.Researchers from the University of and the British Antarctic Survey have measured the rate of local sea level change, which is an indirect way to measure ice loss.
