CBS Evening News anchor Norah O'Donnell and the network have reached a deal to renew her contract allowing her to remain on the anchor desk through the 2024 election and beyond despite growing speculation that CBS News might axe her current $8M deal her due to her 'toxic behavior' and $65,000-a-year wardrobe allowance.
O'Donnell shared the news on Friday during a toast with producers at the CBS News facility in Washington, D.C., saying she had 'made a commitment to continue to do this show with all of you here in D.C. for a long time to come,' a source told Puck's Dylan Byers.
The news, first reported by Dylan Byers, comes after reports that CBS News allegedly reached out to the competition to replace O'Donnell when her contract was expected to end in the spring.
