MP Charlotte Nichols has suggested dead people should be able to change their - as the growth of has been slammed as 'patently absurd'. Ms Nichols, the MP representative for Warrington North, asked if the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) 2004 could be edited 'to allow transgender people who are deceased to be legally remembered by the gender they lived by'. Replying to the MP's written question to Parliament last month, Equalities Minister Stuart Andrew said the Government did not have plans to make further amendments to the Act.
