Austin District Attorney José Garza is being criticized for allowing a man who killed two people in his seventh drunk-driving crash to walk out on bond after his charges were reduced.Roberto Rangel, 52, was initially charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter after he was allegedly involved in a December 18, 2022 drunk-driving crash killed two people, reported . Rangel was allegedly driving a truck that failed to yield the right of way while exiting the Chick-Fil-A parking lot in the 500 block of E. Blvd. and crashed into a motorcycle. The motorcyclist Mark Narvaez, 23, and passenger Kate Garcia, 22, were killed.
