A BA plane was forced to make an emergency landing at as the captain and co-pilot 'fell ill' after smelling a 'foul odour' in the cockpit. The Captain and First Officer of a flight resorted to putting on oxygen masks after reporting a 'foul' stench, while still at 30,000ft in the air. After getting in contact with emergency services on the ground ahead, the packed aircraft was safely landed at Heathrow airport this morning, shortly after its takeoff from Newcastle.
