Banks extend their campaign against physical branches into 2024

Capital One, Wells Fargo and TD Bank all filed notices to shut branchs in the first week of 2024.

They plan to close locations in , and New Jerseyrespectively.

Fifth Third Bank was the only bank to notify its regulator it would be opening a branch, according to the latest bulletin by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) of notices it received in the week starting January 1.
