A historic Jersey Shore amusement park has closed after nearly a century.
Gillian's Wonderland Pier, famous for its 140-foot-tall 'Giant Wheel' ride, closed on Sunday after being a beloved feature of the Ocean City Boardwalk for 94 years.
The park, which was run by Ocean City's mayor and generations of his ancestors, fell victim to financial woes which were made worse by the lingering aftereffects of the pandemic and Superstorm Sandy.
