President is now considering a program that could allow 4,000 undocumented immigrants every year to avoid deportation and obtain a green card to remain in the United States.Those who have lived in the U.S. for more than 10 years and have a legal citizen relative that would 'suffer' as a result of their removal could qualify for access to this program, which the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) says allows non-legal permanent residents to apply for a judge to 'cancel your removal' and stay in the U.S.It comes amid continued crackdowns by Republicans in on the Biden administration's actions at the southern border.
