Some species of birds living in a protected rainforest in Panama have declined by 90 per cent in more than 40 years, a shock new study reveals. Researchers have studied long-term bird population numbers at Parque Nacional Soberanía, a 55,000-acre national park about 15 miles from Panama City. Data was taken from annual bird surveys at the national park by University of researchers between 1977 and 2020.
