The US Air Force has unveiled a new color scheme for two replacement Air Force One Boeing jets, opting for a modernized version of the classic design of the president's aircraft. The new color scheme scraps the darker red, white, and blue livery proposed by former President and ditches the design he wanted which featured a deep red stripe down the middle of the aircraft and a dark blue underbelly.Trump's preferred 'patriotic color scheme' was rejected last year because Boeing said it would require additional engineering and add to the time taken to build together with additional costs. The pair of planes are set to cost $3.9billion - far higher than a regular 747 which used to retail for about $420million.
