Boston's new $2.2billion subway extension has been forced to slow trains to just three miles per hour, meaning its quicker for most commuters to walk.The Green Line extension, which was opened last year by the Bay Transportation Authority, is already haunted with problems with its tracks - meaning train speeds have been reduced dramatically. The defective tracks - caused by the metal being too close together in many spots - mean trains are moving slower than the average person can walk.
