Scientists have discovered how breast cells hibernate to evade treatment before 'waking up' years later.The most common form of breast cancer can become dormant for decades but later cause a relapse that is more difficult to treat.Now researchers hope that by discovering how, they can develop treatments to target and kill 'sleeping' cells, without the need for long-term hormone treatment.
