The Miami Dolphins reportedly traded for controversial Chiefs star Tyreek Hill on Wednesday and promptly made him the highest-paid receiver in NFL history with a new, $120 million contract extension that includes $72.2 million in guarantees.
As part of the deal, which was first reported by and the , the Dolphins will send five draft picks to the Chiefs, including first- and second-round selections this year. Kansas City also receives a pair of fourth-round picks over the next two years and a sixth-rounder in 2023.
The contract extension eclipses Davante Adams's new deal with the Raiders, which averages $28.5 million per season and briefly stood as the largest wide receiver contract in NFL history.
