Cornell University is set to pay out $3million to students after it shifted to virtual learning in response to the pandemic. The private Ivy League university settled a lawsuit which alleged it failed to adequately reimburse those impacted by the decision to move all aspects online. It was filed in 2020 by Cornell students who accused the institution of 'breaching a contract' and 'unjust enrichment'.
