The village of Bourton on the Water, in Gloucestershire, straddles the River Windrush, and is known for its low bridges, traditional stone houses and idyllic riverside setting.With the peak visitor periods between July and August, the influx of tourists Bourton-on-the-Water has experienced has resulted in traffic mayhem, with visitors even parking in residents' driveways.The usually peaceful village, which is home to around 4,700 people, has left locals disgruntled with the flood of visitors and tourists, saying that they have 'no regard that this is a village'.
